An intimate ski school in La Toussuire

As the first international ski school in the Sybelles ski area, ESi La Toussuire prioritizes a personal touch, high-quality instruction, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Group lessons are limited to a maximum of 5 children for the youngest age groups and 8 students for other groups, allowing certified instructors to give each student more individual attention.

In addition, the school offers instruction in multiple languages and places a strong emphasis on safety, notably through the use of radios by instructors and safety bibs worn by the children. Finally, its convenient location makes your stay easier: the office is situated at Place Olympique, opposite the Tourist Office, while the children’s ski garden is in the resort center and lesson meeting points are right at the foot of the slopes.

Activities & Lessons

ESi La Toussuire caters to both children and adults, guiding them from their very first encounter with the snow through to advanced skill development.

Options such as the children’s snow garden, group lessons for all ages, private instruction, the “Fatal’Ados” teen program, snowboarding, and the “FreeMouse” package ensure that everyone can find an activity suited to their age and preferences. Furthermore, the school opens up the mountain to a wider range of experiences, including adaptive skiing (Handiski) and “Taxiski” services, snowshoeing, Nordic walking, and specialized programs for groups and school trips. Finally, events such as night outings and torchlight descents extend the experience beyond the ski lessons themselves.

A huge thank you to the ESI (École de Ski Internationale) in La Toussuire

for the warm welcome and high-quality instruction. A special mention goes to Damien, our instructor during the trip. Thanks to his excellent rapport, relaxed professionalism, and teaching skills, my two children and I were able to put on skis for the very first time in an atmosphere that was both fun and reassuring. As with any learning process, unexpected things can happen. Unfortunately, my youngest son fell and was injured during a private lesson. Damien’s reaction was exemplary: he immediately alerted the ski patrol, secured the area to prevent further accidents, and then cared for my son with great kindness and reassurance. He was remarkable—even afterwards, checking in via text message late into the evening—a thoughtful gesture I truly appreciated as a parent. To top it all off, Damien gave my children two medals and two progress booklets, even though this hadn’t necessarily been planned. It was a sincere gesture that meant a lot to them. This trip was primarily for my children, and Damien played a huge part in making it a real success. Of course, we could have done without the cast on the foot, but that is one of the potential risks when discovering winter sports. Kudos to Damien for his teaching skills, good humor, wit, professionalism, and invaluable advice on learning to ski quickly and confidently.

It was Gabriel’s first time taking part in the snowman-building activity, which started at 9 a.m. each morning.

A wonderful experience! He was able to enjoy his first times sliding on the snow with his friends. A huge thank you to Spirou and his colleague for their patience, attentiveness, and support throughout the week. It was a program that was both fun and enriching. He is delighted with his week, and so are his parents!

A fantastic week for our children,
