Snow Garden

A child’s first encounter with snow plays a vital role in learning to ski. At the ESi La Toussuire Children’s Garden, the youngest skiers discover the sensation of gliding in a specially designed area in the heart of the resort. Educational and fun equipment—including a rope tow, a magic carpet lift, and a heated chalet—allows them to learn gradually while having fun.

Each session includes a snack, thanks to our partnership with the SHERPA store that offers snacks to children!

Children’s ski lessons in La Toussuire

• The “Bonhommes de neige” (Snowmen) group:

For children aged 2.5 to 3.5, operates in groups of five, led by a state-certified instructor and an assistant. A trial session allows children to approach this first experience without pressure and at their own pace.

• The “Souris” (Mouse) group:

Aged 4 to 5.5—also skis in small groups of no more than five children per instructor. They gradually build confidence and independence before moving on to La Toussuire’s beginner slopes. Music, fun exercises, and snack breaks are all part of the daily routine. On Fridays, progress is celebrated with the Cristal Award ceremony, where children receive a progress booklet and a medal.

Classes at the La Toussuire Kindergarten take place from Sunday to Friday, with arrangements tailored to the different periods of the season.

The Snowmen lessons will be from 9am to 11am or from 11am to 1pm.

Mouse classes are available at several times: 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. or 3 p.m.

High season runs from December 19, 2026, to January 1, 2027, and again from February 6 to March 6, 2027. Low season covers the periods from December 12 to 18, 2026, January 2 to February 5, 2027, and March 7 to April 9, 2027.

The rate for 6 days of lessons during peak season is €230 per child. During the off-season, the 6-day morning lesson package is offered at €190 per child. You can also choose a 2-hour ticket for €45 per child only for Snowmen group, subject to availability.

Children’s Ski Area Rates

To ensure your child gets the most out of their lessons, equip them with skis and boots that fit properly, as well as a helmet. Make sure they have warm, waterproof clothing, gloves or mittens, goggles or sunglasses, and mountain-appropriate sun protection. No ski pole. Ski equipment is not included in the price.

About the ski lift pass, free for children under 5 years old

The lesson price does not include the ski lift pass. For the “Souris” (beginner) group, you will need to purchase a pass once the instructor takes the group out of the children’s ski area to explore La Toussuire’s beginner slopes. No ski pass for Snowgraden group.
